Welcome To S.C.A.M.P.S

Welcome to SCAMPS Youth Company, a theatre group for people aged 10-20.  

SCAMPS stage a spectacular musical in March each year at The Evans Theatre in Wilmslow, performing to packed houses from Tuesday through to Saturday.  This is as close to a professional theatre experience as the members are likely to get, with professional lighting, orchestra, sound, sets, etc.

Based on The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan, Hot Mikado is a 1940’s style updating of G&S, the score is transformed into blues, swing and hot gospel, and is a zoot-suited, tap dancing, lindy hopping, jitterbugging all singing, all dancing show.

AUDITIONS
Auditions to join the company are held once a year, usually in late April/early May.  The date for the next auditions will be posted here closer to the time, together with details of how to apply. 

FUNDRAISING
Due to the professionalism of SCAMPS shows, the cost of staging them each year is in the region of £25,000-£30,000.  Ticket sales cover about half the cost, so the shortfall is made up from our generous Patrons, Sponsors, Advertisers, Grants and Fundraising.  If you would like to become a patron of SCAMPS, the cost is just £10 a year. We are delighted to report that the summer concert raised £1,400 towards SCAMPS funds.  Bag-packing at Sainsbury's supermarket in Wilmslow raised £450.
