2011 - WEST SIDE STORY - Award Winning Show

We are delighted to report that SCAMPS Youth Company came away with 2 Awards: the Society for the Best Production, and Jennifer Kent for Best Youth.

Congratulations and thanks go to all concerned for making the show such a success: Adam Whittle (Director), David Bradford (Musical Director), Julie Aspinall (Choreographer), the Committee and backstage helpers, but most importantly the cast for their hard work, dedication and outstanding performances.   In the words of one reviewer, “What a fabulous show this was … the production proved to me that the reputation for excellence which SCAMPS enjoys is very well deserved”.

NODA - "The traditional opening of a partly raised curtain revealing tap dancing feet set the mood for this vigorous production with performances from the talented cast that belied their youthful years.  This show places great demands on the dancing ability of the cast and SCAMPS excelled in this department. Congratulations all round"
